It is customary to talk about our own success more in America than in the British Isles, but for those who want to know me a little better, I will spend a moment on this.

I had made it by age 27, a partnership in a successful construction company, a new home and a British Aston Martin in the driveway all free and clear.

This statement does not cover the amount of hard work with construction and sales of 25 new homes each year.

I was also in a position to become a major contributor to Ambassador College in England, having listened to its founder on Radio Luxembourg, Radio London, and Manx Radio, over many years.

Building In Britain, Australia, Canada, America

My father had been a successful building contractor for many years in the British Isles, and later in Victoria, Australia.

Following his death Harris Brothers became large scale carpentry contractors in England, on such projects as the 1,000 home Brize Norton Air Base in Oxfordshire (the fastest moving contract in the British Isles at that time), and on a 500 home project in nearby Witney.

We built homes on the British Isle Of Man, where liberal tax laws had brought in corporations, retirees and celebrities.

Britain’s Hard Times

High inflation in construction costs and threat of tax law changes on the Island, union unrest and government takeover of large corporations in England had caused stagflation with a stagnant British economy.

I brought my young family to Victoria, British Columbia, Canada which we loved. Eventually to escape the high land and construction costs there, we moved to Portland, Oregon, and later to Southern California, living there for forty years.

It was my privilege to have been a part of the teamwork in the British, Canadian, and US construction industry.

I am retired after 42 years of hard labour or labor, depending on which side of the pond you’re on.

I now work on a Mac with a much lighter toolbar, three Macs in fact, writing, recording, and editing for the America And Britains Future audience. I have recently added nine new free websites to better serve the world, details below.

Dedicated To Serving The Nations

Being born in the British Isles, and having lived in Australia, then back to Britain, later migrating to Canada, and moving again to the United States, was not something I had planned. But it does give me a better understanding of our various nations related temperaments, and perhaps the ability to serve each nation better.
