THE AMERICAN DREAM
The British believe an Englishman’s home is his castle. Americans see home ownership as achieving much of the American Dream.
The failure of large US mortgage providers ten years ago should not detract from the achievements of US contractors before the crash, raising home construction levels from one million homes per year in the 80s to two million and then to three million before the mortgage crisis.
No nation in history has achieved such figures; a tribute to the tremendous ability of this nation’s workforce.
This is an achievement we may not see again until the beginning of the coming one thousand years of world reconstruction. Our people and the rest of the world will see a time when all previous records will be broken and no one need suffer foreclosure.
It was my privilege to have been a part of the teamwork which exists in the British, Canadian, and US construction industries. I am now retired from construction after 43 years of hard labor, or labour, depending on which side of the pond you are on. I now work on a Mac which has a much lighter toolbar.
I am dedicated to serving the American and British people and the rest of the world through the pages of the American And Britains Future Free Website.
My favorite library title ‘The Wonderful World Tomorrow: What It Will Be Like’ is an eye opening look into our future, it will soon be here! Be sure to read this found on Pages 1 and in quick Question and Answer form on Page 4 of the Library.
